Exhibition under the Honorary patronage of the President Of Elk Thomas Andrukiewicza
Tadeusz Rolke, born. in 1929 in Warsaw, photographer, one of the precursors of the Polish reportage photography. The adventure of photography began during World War II. Participant of the Warsaw Uprising, after the war, he studied art history at the Catholic University of Lublin and Warsaw University. In 1951, he was arrested by the authorities and jailed for alleged participation in the "antypaństwowym Association". When you release an ban on studying and take photographic work. At the end of the fifties WINS prizes in national Competitions in which is adopted to the Polish art photographers. Photojournalist weekly "Capital", then monthly "Poland". In the 1970 emigration to Germany, photographing for magazines, m.in. for "Stern", "of Spiegel", "Die Zeit" and others. In 1980, back to Warsaw. His photos are published on the pages of many magazines in Poland. In the second half of the 1990s has been on "Gazeta Wyborcza", where in the "Stock" shall include reports from the country and from abroad (m.in. from the Ukraine, Tunisia). Author of many photographic exhibitions presented in the country and abroad. His huge photo acquis is based on the photography of a humanist, in the Centre of his interests is always the man and his environment, both public and private life. Last appeared: the album "Roll" (Bosz 2015) and an interview River Margaretha Purzyńską "Tadeusz Rolke. My passion "(Agora 2016).
