Two projects Of Elk on the list of 38 projects for funding from the INTERREG programme Lithuania-Poland. The competition has been submitted a total of 89 applications.

Project 1 -"Opened a window to the world for children with Elk and Alytusa"

The project leader is the city of Elk while the partner is the Centre of social services in Alytus. The total value of the project is $208,055.61

Project will be carried out for 12 months (January to December) 2018.

The project provides for the following activities:

·       two English language lab equipment in the SP # 2 in ełk

·       Organization of training (training) for teachers and social workers with the partner cities: 20 participants from Polish, 20 participants from Lithuania

·       language classes in SP # 2 in Elk: 60 students and 3 teachers-a total of 100 hours.

·       camp for children Polish and Lithuanian "Green School" in addition to Elk: 60 participants-30 students SP No. 2 in Elk and 3 mentors and 30 children and 3 tutors from Lithuania

·       study visit for the children of Lithuania in SP # 2 in ełk

·       children of Elk in the Festival in Lithuania

·       study visit of young ełczan in Lithuania

The total value of the project on the side Of Elk is $120,898.26, including:

·         funding from the EU (85%): 102,763.52 €

·         own contribution Of Elk (15%): 18134.76 €

The cost of the equipment of two language lab in SP # 2 in ełk is £ 35397.60,

including the purchase of two televisions to the laboratory. £ 5997.60.

Project 2 -"promotion of cross-border tourism to promote heritage

culture of Lithuania and Polish "

The main idea of the project is a joint promotional campaign Of Elk and the town of Alytus in the year 2018. The total project value is 210 thousand. PLN (approx. € 50 000, in line with the average exchange rate of the euro the NBP, on day 8 may 2017.)

Project will be carried out for 12 months (January to December) 2018.

The project provides for the following activities:

·       participation of Elk and Alytus in tourism fairs organized in Poland and Lithuania (distribution, produced in the project's promotional materials, souvenirs, guide and other publications. Networking, aimed at the formation of partnerships at a level not only promotion but also economic

·       the creation of a website promotion campaign both cities

·       Edition of the Guide and e-guide to promote both of

The total value of the project on the side Of Elk: 105 thousand. zł, including:

·         the subsidy from EU funds (85%): 89 250 zł

·         own contribution Of Elk (15%): 15 750 zł
