The award received the Deputy Mayor of the city of Elk Artur Urbański during the IX Annual Flu Experts Debate Forum 2017, which took place on 14 September in the Parliament.
The town of Ełk preventive vaccination programs against avian influenza from the 2009 year.
Currently implemented is 9 Edition of free flu vaccine for ełckich seniors (born 31 December 1951), who have completed, or until the end of the year they complete at least 66 years old and are registered in the city of Ełk.
Vaccinations are carried out from September 1, 2017, in szczepiennych family physicians from the town of Elk.
This year, the financial resources provided for the implementation of the programme will allow for the purchase of CA. 1800 PCs. Vaccination will be implemented while stock lasts. In the year 2016 with vaccination have benefited a total of 1790.
Financial resources for the implementation of the preventive vaccination against the Group amount to 65 thousand. and come from the budget Of the elk.
Preventive vaccination against avian influenza can reduce the incidence and thus limit the dangerous effects of the consequences of the flu. Important to use vaccination prior to the autumn and winter season which is regarded by experts as the greatest incidence of the flu.
