February 23 in the Conference City Hall, President of Elk Tomasz Andrukiewicz met with athletes and representatives of the ełckich sports clubs. During the ceremony the President of Elk handed ełk County sports development clubs grants for the year 2018.

The special subsidy from the budget of the city of Elk can receive sports clubs, sports activities in the city of Ełk, failed to make a profit, that participate in organised sporting competitions in team sports and individual.

This year, received 11 applications for sports clubs grants earmarked for the implementation of the tasks from the scope of the development of the sport in the Elk from Elk City budget. The Commission appointed by the President of the Elk has considered proposals for the merits. After obtaining the opinion of the Evaluation Committee proposals, the President approved the following tasks to achieve:
