The Mayor of Elk invites students to write papers on Elk and participate in the "competition for the best thesis related to Elk City."

The competition is addressed to graduates of the master's degree, engineering, undergraduate, doctoral and postgraduate studies, writing his work about the Elk in the area eg. tourism and recreation, social policy, public administration or business development.

It is already the X Edition of the competition. The prize pool for this year is 15 000 zł. Works must be submitted by October 15, 2017, at the Registry Office of the city of Elk.

In the year 2016 contest has 16:9 theses, work, 4 engineering and 1 graduate work. In addition, since 2008 in all nine editions of the competition received a total of 172 two theses.

The themes of the work was varied, but always associated with the city of Ełk. They were m.in. areas such as landscape architecture, urban planning, spatial management and tourism, environmental engineering, construction, Geodesy and cartography.

Having regard to the recommendation of the competition Chapter, President of Elk Tomasz Andrukiewicz admitted 5 awards and 2.
