One of the topics in a series of lectures, which are organized at the school of finance and management in Białystok (branch in ełk) was the project "the new Downtown Of Elk-formula for revitalization", with particular emphasis on public consultation update for revitalization of Elk for the period 2016-2023. The lecture was led by project coordinator-Pauline Omilianowicz and expert. social participation in the project-Urszula Podurgiel (President of the Association of Adelfi).

Participants had the opportunity to see a presentation of photos from all public consultations that were organized in the framework of the project "the new Downtown Of Elk-formula for revitalization." The final part of the talk was to invite students to participate in the consultations and propose new solutions for shaping urban space Elk River, near the square of John Paul II.

The students showed great creativity and proposed the following solutions:
-installation of deck chairs and inflatable, puf River Elk, conducive to rest and the integration of population,
-Openwork shield covered with greenery, which maskowałyby district heating lines running along the River,
-construction of district heating pipes, on which skilled residents of Elk could create unique murals and graffiti, consistent with the context of the culture and manners of John Paul II square,
-installation of wooden pienkow, performing the function of the seat for anglers, who quite often are Elk River, the seat could also serve spacerującym seniors,
-Elimination of stairs and high hills with bridges connecting both banks of the River, because they represent an obstacle for cyclists and sometimes discouraging to continue their journey,
-installation of modern blades with reference, that foster in caring for urban lawns, contaminated by the feces of dogs,
-installation of dispatchers. "dog packages". corrugated container and bag waste by paid packages (50 gr) and free, because residents often take excess bags, so your packages are still empty, and lawns contaminated.

Because students will be presented in the report of the public consultation, which in July this year, after the submission of the Elk City Council Councilor, will be published on the site www.elk.pl

Action is carried out in the framework of the project "the new Downtown Of Elk-formula for revitalization", co-financed from the Cohesion Fund under the operational programme technical support 2014-2020 and the State budget.
